Wendy Sisk joined our staff in 2002. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Central Washington University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Before joining the PBH team, Wendy worked at Community Psychiatric Clinic (Seattle), where she provided after hours crisis support and served as the Residential Screener. She also worked for Fairfax Hospital (Kirkland) as an Evaluator on the Psychiatric Assessment Team. She served as a volunteer for four years as a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocate in Ellensburg.
Wendy was initially hired as a Case Manager but has primarily worked as a Designated Mental Health Professional since 2004. In 2010, Wendy was promoted to supervise Crisis Intervention Services and a year later also assumed responsibility for the Community Support Services. Wendy was promoted to the position of Clinical Director on August 9, 2014. In 2016, Wendy was promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Joseph Reis, ARNP, has served in many healthcare leadership roles since 1991. First as a career Officer in the United States Army and most recently as the Director of Clinical Operations at Logistics Health Inc. in La Crosse, WI.
Joseph is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He obtained his undergraduate nursing degree at Kent State University and an Adult Nurse Practitioner Master's degree from West Virginia University and a Post Master's in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Washington State University. Mr. Reis brings 25 years of clinical health care experience to his position at Peninsula Behavioral Health. Joseph understands the unique nature of the patients served by PBH. He is dual board certified as both a psychiatric and an adult nurse practitioner.
In addition to Mr. Reis' executive leadership role as Chief Medical Officer, he is heavily engaged in full-spectrum clinical care. This includes outpatient behavioral health care, procedures, supportive therapy, and medication management. He is interested in clinical workforce needs, cross-institution collaboration, innovation in behavioral health care, and care of the underserved in our community. Outside of work, Joseph is happily married to Rebecca and has five grown children living across the United States.
Kathy Stevens holds a Master of Science in Counseling from South Dakota State University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Child Mental Health Specialist, and a Designated Crisis Responder.
Before joining the PBH team, Kathy worked at Capital Area Counseling Services in Pierre, South Dakota, providing therapy services and afterhours crisis support. She also worked for Children's Administration of the Department of Social and Health Services as a social worker and as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for a private company working with the Department of Labor and Industries in Port Angeles.
Kathy supervised the Children's Department at PBH for 12 years prior to becoming the Clinical Director in 2016 until her recent promotion to Chief Operations Officer in 2021. She has over 20 years of experience at PBH.
Dawn Brown joined the PBH finance department in July of 2016 and became CFO in July of 2017. She has served in various accounting and finance roles over the last 20 years, most recently as a controller for a private university. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Utah.
Anita joined Peninsula Behavioral Health in 2008 as a student intern in the BAS Applied Management program at Peninsula College.
After graduating in 2010, she began working full-time in Human Resources as a Human Resources Aide. Shortly after, she obtained professional certification in the Society of Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation.
Anita joined the executive leadership team when she was promoted to Human Resources Director in January of 2016.
Sydney started her career in 1992 as a Child and Family Case Manager here at Peninsula Behavioral Health. Through the years, she has worked in various settings, including private non-profit, tribal health, private practice, and as a contracted service provider for the Department of Children, Youth and Families. As a business owner, Sydney managed all aspects of contract compliance, while her clinical work focused on individual & family therapy, and clinical hypnotherapy. She has supervised clinicians, developed programs, and created a culturally-sensitive workforce development curriculum.
Prior to rejoining the PBH team in 2018, Sydney served the Lower Elwha Klallam tribal community for ten years, as a therapist and then as the Mental Health Program Manager at the Tribal Health Clinic.
Sydney holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, is a Nationally Certified Counselor and recently earned a black belt in Six Sigma quality improvement methodology.
