7 Career Opportunities at Peninsula Behavioral Health


The OCRP Lead Instructor / Mental Health Professional provides clinical and educational services within Peninsula Behavioral Health’s forensic programs, with primary responsibility for the Outpatient Competency Restoration Program (OCRP).

This position provides behavioral health assessments, brief clinical interventions, and competency restoration support to individuals involved in the criminal legal system. Services may be provided to participants enrolled in OCRP as well as other forensic program participants when clinically appropriate.

The OCRP program utilizes the Breaking Barriers competency restoration curriculum, an educational model designed to help individuals understand legal concepts, court processes, and the roles of courtroom participants. The Lead Instructor participates in and supports the delivery of this curriculum alongside the OCRP team while helping participants address behavioral health symptoms, cognitive challenges, and other barriers that may interfere with their ability to understand and participate in legal proceedings.

Services are delivered in offices, community, and institutional settings including jails, shelters, housing sites, and other locations where participants reside or receive services. This position also provides clinical consultation and support to forensic program staff to help identify behavioral health barriers that impact engagement, stability, and competency restoration.


The Foundations of Community Support (FCS) Peer Support Specialist provides recovery-oriented peer support services to individuals experiencing housing instability, homelessness, or barriers to employment and community participation. Using their lived experience and training as a peer specialist, the FCS Peer Support Specialist offers encouragement, mentorship, and practical support to help participants pursue stable housing, employment or educational opportunities, and greater independence in the community.ee or health care whistleblower status.


Supports clinical operations and promotes a collaborative team environment within the Peninsula Behavioral Health main office and its satellite offices. Performs general clerical and reception duties in an orderly and efficient manner, maintaining good public relations with staff, clients, visitors, and callers. Facilitates all aspects of access to services for new clients, interfaces with agency staff, and coordinates appointment scheduling.


Provides a range of substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders treatment at Peninsula Behavioral Health, working within a multi-disciplinary team. This SUDP will also work with our Forensics team, providing SUD appropriate assessments and referrals as part of their essential responsibilities. As part of Washington State’s response to the Trueblood settlement, which addresses delays in providing competency evaluation and restoration services to individuals involved in the criminal legal system, the Forensic Program plays a key role in providing a number of community-based outreach and other supportive services to assist with bridging gaps and improve participant outcomes.


The Program Peer Outreach Support/Care Coordinator position is critical to the REAL Program. The main role of the Peer Outreach Support/Care Coordinator includes outreach, engagement, and intensive coordination support to individuals referred by law enforcement, community-based organizations, emergency medical services, and other individuals and organizations who might encounter an individual who would benefit from the support of the program. The REAL Program Peer Outreach Support/Care Coordinator will provide direct coordination support to a caseload of approximately 20-25 individuals. The REAL Program Peer Outreach Support/Care Coordinator primarily works to ensure that participant needs are being met, as indicated by the individual. REAL Peer Outreach Support/Care Coordinator may be assisting outreach and referral staff to ensure immediate field-based response when a referral is made.


The Respite Center Case Aide provides support services to participants of the Clallam County Respite Center (CCRC) in compliance with all applicable Washington Laws, the established program objectives, and treatment goals of each individual being served.


The Psychiatric ARNP provides Psychiatric Assessments and ongoing care to consumers for Peninsula Behavioral Health (PBH). The ARNP completes Initial Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Management, and Consultation services within scope of practice.

As part of the Trueblood settlement, the state is funding enhanced engagement to connect individuals detained in city and county jails with services. This position will provide medication management to individuals who are involved in the criminal court system that have been ordered to undergo a competency evaluation, restoration, or participate in diversion services. This individual will provide initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care for this population.
