Pay Range: $80,000 to $95,000 annually (DOE/DOQ)

JOB PURPOSE:   Responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the WISe team providing voluntary wraparound services to families with high acuity needs. Provides therapy services for children and adolescents in collaboration with caregivers and agency partners. Provides overall administrative and clinical leadership and supervision to WISe program staff. Coordinates activities of staff with responsibility for daily delivery of WISe treatment services to high-need children and their families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision & Staff Development

  • Supervise all members of the WISE team, which may include licensed therapists, associate-level therapists, peer support specialists, care coordinators and interns, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee and support the provision of individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis response, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Assist staff in implementing the WISE treatment model that addresses the individual needs of clients and family system.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision, team meetings, and staffing reviews to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
  • Provide job coaching, performance appraisals, and corrective action as needed to maintain high standards of care.

Clinical Operations & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all clinical services provided meet WISE guidelines, best practice standards, Washington State laws, and agency quality assurance guidelines.
  • Monitor and enforce the timely completion of documentation, ensuring compliance with professional standards, state regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Participate in the assignment, referral, and transfer of clients to appropriate clinicians based on their needs and clinician expertise.
  • Support the continuous quality improvement of service delivery, including program design, program development, utilization management, and outcome measurement.
  • Ensure clinical productivity and operational efficiency by monitoring caseloads, workflow, and service delivery.

Training & Professional Development

  • Develop and/or provide in-service training for clinical staff, ensuring ongoing professional development within the scope of knowledge and experience.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends in behavioral health, providing guidance on evidence-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and cultural competency.

Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Maintain clinical staff coverage schedules, approve leave requests, and sign timesheets to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new clinical staff, ensuring a seamless transition into the team.
  • Participate in team meetings, agency leadership discussions, and strategic planning to enhance clinical operations.
  • Provide direct client services as needed and cover for staff absences to ensure continuity of care.

Community Engagement & Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison with community partners, governmental agencies, and other professionals, fostering positive relationships and enhancing service coordination.
  • Provide consultation and education to community stakeholders, representing the agency professionally and positively.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, and external service providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains familiarity with and handles client information in accordance with Federal Regulations (42 CRF, Part 2) and the Revised Code of Washington (RCW 71.05.390 and RCW 71.24), and other applicable laws pertaining to confidentiality of client and staff information.
  • Maintains physical security of confidential materials and assigned agency property.
  • Promotes openness and safety in the workplace.
  • Works with supervisors in other departments to facilitate cross-team communication and coordinated service provision for clients.

  • Ensure timely access to treatment for clients while maintaining high-quality service delivery and adherence to professional, ethical, and agency documentation standards.
  • Monitor and optimize clinical productivity and operational efficiency within the WISE Program, ensuring resources are effectively utilized to meet client and program goals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSE(S), CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:   Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling/Psychology or related field.

Experience:  Counseling experience working with children and families affected by with serious persistent mental illness.

Licensure:  Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration and Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certification required within two months of hire

Other:   Reliable, insured transportation. Possess and maintain valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL CREDENTIALS/EXPERIENCE:

Experience:   Two years' experience working with children and families.

Licensure:   Child Mental Health Specialist and Washington Full or Associate License (LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC).

  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients, staff, and the public.
  • Proficiency in the electronic medical records system.
  • Sound clinical judgment and ability to model quality clinical care to staff.
